A supernova ribbon, the one-millennium-old remnants from the death of a star.
What created this unusual space ribbon? Most assuredly, one of the most violent explosions ever witnessed by ancient humans. Back in the year 1006 AD, light reached Earth from a stellar explosion in the constellation of the Wolf (Lupus), creating a “guest star” in the sky that appeared brighter than Venus and lasted for over two years. The supernova, now cataloged at SN 1006, occurred about 7,000 light years away and has left a large remnant that continues to expand and fade today. Pictured above is a small part of that expanding supernova remnant dominated by a thin and outwardly moving shock front that heats and ionizes surrounding ambient gas. SN 1006 now has a diameter of nearly 60 light years. Within the past year, an even more powerful explosion occurred far across the universe that was visible to modern humans, without any optical aid, for a few seconds.

if you’ve never ever cut/self-harmed before, please don’t start. you need to understand what you’re getting yourself into. it’s nothing like what you think it’s like. you can’t stop whenever you want. first you’ll start with little cuts here & there, thinking it’s no big deal. soon, those little cuts won’t be enough. you’ll have to go deeper. it’ll become an addiction that you have to keep feeding. you won’t know what’s gotten into you, but all you’ll be able to think about is cutting. there goes your grades, friends, & family. there goes your life. you’ll have to cut every night just to feel slightly okay. it’ll get harder & harder trying to cover them up. people will question why you’re always wearing sleeves or why you flinch when they touch your arm. please don’t start.
and you don’t want the hospital bills to add up either if you cut a little too deep and have to get stitches, or to go in for treatment of some kind because of your cutting.

Vernal Falls (by John Baggaley)
I really want to go up to Denver this Saturday so i can work at the car show up there, and since my dad won’t let me drive my car up there due to it needing to go to the shop, the only other car I can drive is my mom’s car. I mentioned that I could drive hers and follow her and dad up there, but she’s being too overprotective over the car. Dad seems like he wouldnt mind, but shes like Hell no. Its irritating cause I really want to do my job at this show like I would normally do in town.
